JWP Locksmithing LLC
I’m a proud native of the Oregon South Coast, born and raised right here in Coos County. I honorably served in the United States Army, where I learned valuable skills such as self-reliance, adaptability, and perseverance. After serving in the military, I returned home with a strong commitment to family, community, and integrity.
About Me
I founded JWP Locksmithing LLC with a simple but important mission: To provide the best possible service and products concerning the security of one’s home, business, or vehicle to the people of Coos County.
My Mission
Where It All Began
From a very early age, I was fascinated with locks and keys. Seeing them in movies and TV shows would pique my curiosity, from the safe-cracking scene in For A Few Dollars More to Bill Turner bypassing the lock on Jack’s prison cell in Pirates of The Caribbean, locks have always easily grabbed my attention. before too long, I had a small collection of them.
As a teenager, I became interested in Lock-sport - “the sport or recreation of defeating locking systems using a variety of skills including lock picking, lock bumping, and other methods traditionally used by locksmiths and security professionals.” Naturally, this led to me learning about different types of locks and how they work, their advantages and disadvantages, how to take them apart and put them back together, so on and so forth.
Years later, while attending OSU, My best friend, Erik, shared with me his lock collection and his pick set. This drove me to upgrade my own pick set, and a friendly competition to see who was the more skilled lock-picker ensued.
After college, while working as a property manager in Corvallis, I became acquainted with a very skilled and experienced locksmith who very kindly would answer any of my questions whenever he stopped by the office. Learning from and working with him spurred me to pursue locksmithing as a career. It’s been a long and winding journey to make that goal a reality, and none of this could have been possible without the support of the people in my life who mean the most to me. Amy, mom, Cristina, and Erik, I cannot express my gratitude enough, and now I have the privilege of saying that I am a licensed and certified locksmith, and I have this exciting opportunity to share my skills and knowledge with the people of my community.
